Agitated batch high-pressure reactor for hydrothermal treatment of wet biomass, organic residues and other high-moisture matrices. It is mainly used for hydrothermal carbonization (HTC), converting wet feedstocks into hydrochar without prior intensive drying. Working volume: 10-12 L. Maximum pressure: below 43 bar. Operating time: process-dependent. It can process liquids, solid-liquid suspensions and high-moisture solids and can operate under a modified atmosphere through gas introduction. Temperature, pressure, reaction time and agitation can be controlled during experimental trials.
